12-03-2015 St. Clare Chapel Blessed With New Tabernacle and Sacred Vessels
We are thankful to have just been able to replace our deteriorated sacred vessels and tabernacle. Thanks to Father Juan Sardinas, through his trip to Mexico we were able to acquire a new chalice, ciborium, paten, and tabernacle at a small fraction of the cost of purchasing them through our normal sources in the U.S. The opportunity to acquire a new tabernacle at a cost affordable to our humble mission was a particular blessing. This was only possible through the thoughtfulness of Father Juan and his continued love for the St. Clare community. Also, making these important purchases would not have been possible without the support and approval of Father Kevin Young. Replacing these items is not merely an act of upgrading certain material objects. These items, central to the Liturgy, are the vessels which directly touch Our Lord Jesus Christ, Truly Present in the Most Blessed Sacrament. We are thankful that we will now be able to employ vessels and tabernacle that are of a quality and condition appropriate to their sacred use.
07-20-2015 St. Clare Mass Time to Change
Beginning August 2, 2015, the time for Sunday Mass at St. Clare Catholic Church will change to 2:30 pm. Though this is an atypical time for Sunday Mass, it is a time that will allow the priests of Our Lady of Victory to serve all of the needs of both churches.
No matter the time, we are reminded of what a great privilege it is to be able to celebrate Mass each Sunday in our humble, but beautiful, chapel in Cooper.
